Belich, Cult of Saints in Siberian Islam: Specifics of the Universal, Мoscow: Mardjani Publishing House, 2009The monograph is an ethnological study of the “cult of saints” in rural communities of Siberian Muslims (mainly, Tobol-Irtysh Tatars). Main components of local religious practice are analyzed proceeding from an interrelation of its universal and specific elements. The problem of Sufi influence on the local cults is also disputed. The book involves a lot vast amount of field materials.
