Conference on Islamic finance in the CIS

A practical conference on problems of the Islamic finance and its primary institutions and instruments in the CIS will be held in Almaty on March 17, 2010.

“The development of the Islamic Finance in the CIS” is organized within the bounds of the Kazakhstan Financial Forum, regarded as one of the key events dedicated to the financial market of Kazakhstan. The conference is going to be a pioneering event devoted to development of Islamic finance in the region.

Questions to be discussed are as follows:  

• Overview of key Islamic finance instruments
• Development of Islamic finance: experience in different countries
• Experience in issuing Islamic instruments in the CIS countries
• Prospects for developing Islamic finance in Kazakhstan and the CIS countries
• Development of Islamic Finance in the CIS

 

Representatives of the financial institutions from Kazakhstan, Russia, other CIS countries, the Middle East and Asia specializing in Islamic finance, as well as representatives of international agencies for Islamic finance, government bodies of Kazakhstan, Russia and the CIS are welcomed to attend.
