Lecture "Quran and the beginnig of Islam"

Lecture called “Quran and the beginning of Islam” was delivered by Igor Alexeev at 6^th September, 2011 at the “Inzhir” Gallery. The audience has been acquainted with historic, cultural and spiritual and religious context of the emerging of Islam, as well as the life of Prophet Muhammad, history and content of the Quran, calligraphical art of decoration of the Holy text and science of its interpretation.

 

The lecturer – Igor Alexeev – is a director of scientific programs of the Mardjani Foundation, docent of the Russian State University of the Humanities, Ph.D. in History, specialist in Arabic and Islamic studies and an author of series of works on Islamic art and culture, and religious and social thought.
